Agreed, you wouldn't think we'd get this sort of stuff from a club officer.

I'm not one, so it's OK.

Don't call my football club a joke and I won't swear. How about that?

Yep and I was voicing my opinion.

You're either having a go at the club for doing the wishes of Phil Brown and past managers, or having a go at Phil Brown. Either will get an equally annoyed reaction from me.

We can all voice our opinion without using foul language, it shows you just as frustrated as most of us. Sorry I didn't realise it was YOUR football club, when was that announcement made, i'll call you Mr Chairman from now on. FYI, the football club is not a joke, but the comings and goings of our best players IS. I take it from ur handle, LFC stands for Liverpool and not Livingstone, so imagine how you'd feel if Coutinho,Sturridge and Ings uped sticks and moved to Everton, well that's how frustrating it to see Conny,Kilifin,Bailey and now Hunter play for Kendal. For the second time, no-one is having a go at Phil Brown or the Directors, who do a diligent job under difficult circumstances. I'll apologise for calling the club a joke but are you man enough to do the same for using foul language,

Unless we start to get 300/400 paying every home game we will always struggle to keep players when they are offered more money,All of us who go to work would surely admit that if a rival company offered us more money to go and work for them we almost certainly would go,We all need to understand that most footballers at any level are soccer mercenaries,£30/40 a week will almost certainly see them move on.We are lucky at my club(yes like lcfc/lcfc)I do see it as my club that we have 2 directors who are spending there own monies on trying to keep the club going,Unless there is anybody who uses this forum who can afford to put approximately £6000 a year into the club then we are going to loose are better players, the clubs are players are moving on to don't always have bigger crowds than us but must have more directors or a sugar daddy. One final point those complaining about players moving on are you all subscribing to the fans fund or if you are can you afford to put in a little extra cash

I know many on here are upset with the way things are going at present but here's a quick question that's been at the back of my mind, Garry was on contract so did we pay him off to release him ??? or did he just walk ?? does anyone know ?? I can only imagine his wages would help City bring in at least 3/4 more at the usual £30/£40 per week etc.

Ps, hats off to all behind the scenes at City it must be a very difficult job trying to keep our club afloat never mind keeping our 'star' players.

I think everyone is getting a bit tense on here at the moment, me included, so I think it's paramount we all stick together for the same cause. My only worry is the drop in attendances at home, is it because we currently lie 16th in the table and are out of both major Cup competitions or the fact that some of our better players have left. {More respect for Mike Hale BTW}, the weather has been decent, what are the crowds gonna be like in December/January.

Right......I'm going to agree with everyone.

It is bloody (does that count as swearing? Very Happy ) frustrating that we lose players that we would to keep, be it to clubs in higher divisions, or to dumps like Kendull. Reading the comments on this thread it did appear that people were actually criticising either the club/the manager/the directors & I am glad that it has been made clear that this is not the case. From that point of view I can fully understand Jonny's outburst, also if there is anyone that posts on here that has never used industrial language then they are a better person than I, so I'm not really sure what the problem with that is. As frustrating as our current situation is there really is no point in us all falling out with each other, this is a time for us to stick together through the tough times so that we can enjoy the better times when they arrive.
We really are struggling at the moment. We need to get the 100 or so people that have stopped attending games to return (although there were only just over 1,000 over the river on Tuesday too), we need to build an air of positivity around the club once again. We once had a flourishing away support & now we are in danger of losing our away game coaches because of lack of support.
Billy also has a point, if you want to help the club why not support the Fans' Fund? £10/month is equivalent to what? A pint of beer a week? There are so many other ways you can help financially......netbusers, half time draw, buy a programme, but most importantly bring a friend!
Keep smiling! #PJBBWA

It's been a perennial problem. Remember in our play-off season when we won 13 league games in a row and attendances at the Giant Axe went down! Being right up the table, winning games and playing attractive football (City scored 47 goals in those 13 games) didn't bring the fans in. JanB a few posts ago referred to a "coldbed" of football and the point is well made; as much as it pains us to acknowledge the progress made by Morecambe over the last 10 years, just 1,000 or so home fans the other night points to the lack of interest in the area as a whole.

Football on the TV is killing non- league/ lower league,This does keep attendances down.I know there are some people not in favour of Friday night football but I think we have got to give it a try,It's the only night (at the moment)were there is no premier league games.I carnt believe as a club we are not trying this.Remember one of are last Friday night games drew in a crowd of nearly 1000.( ok I know it was against Burton Albion and a top of the table clash)I know we need to ask the league and opponents about a Friday night game but it's got to be worth a go,Finally on the low attendances,It really doesn't help the club when we allow players to put tickets on the gate for family and friends this can be about 20/30 free admissions per game that equates to about £150 a game,If family and friends don't want to pay to watch then tough were not loosing anything if they don't come, harsh I know but times are very hard and we need the money, there must be a few other ways of saving a few quid so come on everybody get your thoughts on here.we carnt leave it all to Stuart and mark
