I reckon 9 wins from these last 12 games should see us home. This season 90+ points should be enough as Farsley won't win 15 games. I know we came second to Halifax with 96 points but this season is different. We are the best team in this league and deserve to be where we are.

Well if we do need to win, hopefully Glossop will be taking it easy in preparation for a play off game

Hopefully Farsley will go on a bad run with all the games they still have to play.A few draws would do and Clitheroe will not be easy this Saturday. All we can do is keep winning and we have a big squad to choose from.

No problem.
Three points per game would only give 36 points one short

Our last 12 games yielded 26 points (8 wins and 2 draws). If we were to replicate that in our final 12 games then we finish with 90 points, often regarded as a winning total this season. That means Farsley will need 36 points from 15 games to overtake us, which is a big ask given their fixture list. April will be critical I feel.

Who regards 90 points as a "winning total"?

Have I missed something?

Given that Farsley and ourselves are the only teams in this division with an average points total above 2 per game, it may be safe to assume that a total of 90 points would be enough to win the league, barring any surprise late run. Also it seems that anyone can beat anyone at this level,so it seems to me a two-horse race. In previous years a team has run away with the league but not this year.

I don't think it's safe to assume anything!

I agree it's for us & Farsley to throw away as it stands, & I wouldn't swap places with them.
Strange things happen towards the end of the season, teams become desperate for points at both ends of the league, pressure builds, us & Farsley may win all our remaining games.
When was the last time we played really well & dominated a game? I missed the Scarborough away match but we performed very well there by all accounts....but prior to that?
Up until Christmas we were creating & missing lots of chances....not carving out as much lately. I think that's down to our more conservative set up lately with Winder & Jarvis being generally preferred in the wide rolls as opposed to Gregory & Crolla. It's going to be a very tense 10 weeks or so.
Just to continue the negativity (caution), don't forget Farsley are sitting on £20k courtesy of UEFA which they may choose to use to add a couple of ringers to their squad for the last few weeks of the season.
