North Ferriby

So North Ferriby are liquidated and not allowed to finish the season. Very sad considering the small amount of money owed. Wonder how this will affect the league table? Presumably their record will be expunged, which could alter the whole complexion. We would lose four points but a lot of teams might lose six, and that could change things dramatically.

Anyone got the time to go through the results & see how it affects (or is that effects?) the table?
Have to agree that with the obscene amounts of money sloshing round the premier leagues that it is very sad to see a club go out of buisness for just over £7k

Points estimate

If their record is expunged and my calculations are correct, of the teams in the bottom half City and Marine would lose 4 points each,
Hednesford, Staly, Stafford, Brig, Mickleover and Workington 3 points each. However Staly, Stafford, Brig and Mickleover miss out on a probable 3 points in the remaining fixtures.

Had a look at the position for the teams near the top. Farsley and Warrington would lose 6 points each but South Shields, with the dubious distinction of being one of North Ferriby's 2 victories, only 3 points, and would therefore move up to second. Scarborough would also lose 6 points and with today's result their playoff hopes are looking dim. They also have to play one of the form teams of the moment, namely us!!

Assuming there will now be only two relegation spots, our revised points total would be 39 after today's win, putting us 10 points above Mickleover in 20th place. Should still make us safe, I think.

We would drop two places on goal difference but as Toby says still be 10 clear of Mickleover. I forgot to include Grantham who would gain two places but still be below us.
