Safe?

Workington can't catch us now, so 3 more points should do it

Not necessarily. Brig and Mickleover can still overtake us as it stands, and we have a much worse goal difference, but a win on Saturday should go a long way to ensuring safety.

I stand corrected. Mickleover have a worse goal difference, but a win for us on Saturday means they can't catch us, so it's only Brig in the way of safety. We would do them a favour as well if we win on Saturday.

Let's not forget that Bamber Bridge entertain Mickleover on the final day of the season so something will have to give.

Mathematically we aren't safe, but it'd have to be a monumental eff up for us to go down now. Full marks to MF & GL fo the job they've done. Looking forward to next season

Mickleover can overtake us but only by beating Brig, who would then be unable to catch us, so yes we are deffo safe

Job done, point gained in probably the worst game I've seen all season. Poor pitch and two sides seemingly intent on hoofing the ball as high in the air as possible. What little football played came from us. Mickleover were nothing like the side that nearly beat us at the Axe and we seemed to be dragged down to their level. Got our noses in front straight after half time but gave away a soft penalty and then had to dig deep to get a result. Undoubtedly we have become very hard to beat, particularly away from home, but nine draws out of the sixteen games played since we lost to Marine reflects our inability at times to really impose ourselves on the opposition. If we are to progress next season, we will need to be much more clinical in our finishing and kill teams off when we are ahead.
