Lancashire Cup match v Rochdale Town on October 15th/16th
2/10/2013, 12:29
The web site says it's on Wednesday 16th, but the programme says Tuesday 15th. Does anyone know which is correct?

Apparently it has been moved to Wednesday because England are playing on Tuesday.

Thanks for this. Poor decision to my mind, not just because I won't be able to come, but also because I guess this may be true of a lot of other people who expected it to be on the Tuesday and therefore have made other arrangements for the Wednesday. The fact that England are playing is irrelevant - I mean, have you watched them recently? Tedious in the extreme.
Surely this change of date should be announced officially on the front page of the web site, to avoid the possibility of people turning up on the Tuesday and being disappointed. I don't understand why this hasn't already been done. There could perhaps be notices up about it at the next home match as well. And a correction notice in Saturday's programme.

Credit to LCFC for looking at ways of increasing attendances, but to be honest these Lancs Cup games against (with respect) lesser opposition normally attract two-figure crowds, so you wouldn't think it's going to make much difference in any case.Brocker wrote:Apparently it has been moved to Wednesday because England are playing on Tuesday.
