Lancs Trophy...does anyone care?
14/10/2013, 17:30
Seems this always gets a very low turnout from supporters. Personally I really enjoy them. New teams, open cup style games, couple of new/up and coming players on show and above all else a game of football to watch.
Rochdale Town are just below Chadderton in the NW Counties Div 1 table who we I'm sure many remember we thrashed in pre-season.
Looking forward to it myself

Bloody right I care!!! I would love to win this trophy this (& any other) season. Its a cup we have a real chance of winning, I hope we give it a real go. By the way......I will be there, & I hope that all of you will too

I would be proud to be champions of our county!
Why are barra and mintcake in it, is there not a cumbria cup?

Arent Southport (Merseyside) in it too?

Looks like Southport might not be in it this year going from this entry list,

I know they never wanted to take part but LFA like the 'big names' to take part. Both Barrow and Southport ended up withdrawing last season.

Barrow and Southport were in Lancashire prior to local government reorganisation in 1974, and many people there would still regard themselves as Lancastrians. Kendal was part of Westmorland, which had no other pro or semi-pro clubs.

First cup I ever saw us win beating Bacup 1-0 at Great Harwood in 75. I too care, seen us lose too many semis in it as well.
If we're in it we might as well try to win it.
