default Amazing Scenes! City 1 - 0 Brig

Can't remember the goal. I thought Wearing had scored for a while! Laughing

It feels good to win. Now we've seen off the Brig, let's smash the Brighouse Very Happy Quality celebrations today. Team and club spirit on display for all to see. Great start to the year!

Gutsy battling performance. What we lack in skill & guile we made up for with effort & commitment. Every player put a shift in & the team spirit is commendable, highlighted by the celebration of the late winner with the fans. I thought we looked better in the second half when Reece was playing wider....thought we looked too narrow in the first half. Si Wearing helped us look more threatening, worked hard & made things happen.Good performances from the central midfield pair, Garry Hunter seems to be getting back to his best. Mid-table would seem to be an appropriate place for the current side, hopefully players returning from injury will make us a top-ten side.Still lots of improvement needed though

A decent solid performance. Its good to see we've finally implemented a system which protects our defence a bit more so we don't go into the second half having to chase the game. We'd all like to see us going hell for leather from the start battering the opposition but we don't have the players for that. The extra man in midfield allows us to get a grip of the game rather than allowing the other team to pick easy passes exposing our back line.
With players hopefully coming back from injury soon leaves me feeling the most optimistic since the first week of the season.
The club's gesture of 2 free pints also helped.....cheers!
