City 2 - 2 Farsley

Great effort from the lads tonight, playing nearly half the game a man down. Desperately unlucky to concede in stoppage time as to be honest Farsley never looked like equalising!

The more direct approach was much appreciated, personally, as we seemed a little more threatening on the attack. The first half was quite entertaining, whilst the second was just nervy. Stupid tackle for the red card. With a three game ban we'll need a new centre back!

Perhaps a good job that Farsley didn't equaliser with longer left as they would probably have gone on to win.

Who moved into the middle after the sending off, Gavin Clark?

I see Northwich showed tonight how to deal with the Droylsden defence!

Farsley never looked like winning that game. Even after the equalised the last two minutes were City attacks!

Garry Hunter moved to centre back and did brilliantly, despite the own goal ricochet.

Northwich on Saturday looks like a lost cause, but non-league football always throws up some surprises

It was a good job the Farsley 9 didn't have the pace of the Farsley 10. One could play one was just pace, got in behind twice first half and squandered both.

LancsUniJim - if we had took our best chance of the second half with 10 men when one on one ? Thank god football is a game of 'what if's'

I for one was very impressed with the reaction of the lads, we did look sharper but did fail a little in the stronger challenges (apart from Jacob-oops!)

Overall a good point with 10 men

Difficult to judge this one from afar not having seen the game. On the one hand having to battle for a long time without a key centre back must show a lot of spirit and guts. On the other, it's disappointing to have home advantage against one of the few teams lower than us in the league and not win.

At least one of the relegation places already seems booked! We could do with playing New Mills now!

Entertaining game played at a good pace, deserved a point just for the efforts put in when down to 10 men. Have to say Hunter was excellent when he moved into the back four.
According to their bench the sending off was a career ending tackle although you could argue that as he was playing for a club three from the bottom of the Evo Stick North his career possibly has ended anyway!!!!!
